About KITS

A parent company built to fight poverty with innovation

Kweh Innovative Technical Solutions (KITS) is the legally registered parent company for a suite of dedicated subsidiaries, each aimed at combating poverty through innovative means — technology education, STEM schools, innovative housing, renewable energy, and connectivity.

Our mission goes beyond business. We work to create a brighter, sustainable future through innovation and collaboration, with a focus on poverty alleviation, economic progress, and sustainability in underdeveloped nations.

KITS operates across two continents — from Central New York in the United States to schools and communities throughout Liberia, West Africa. Our founder also serves as Chief Advisor to the Krahn people of Kparblee District, Nimba County, with a KDCO-acknowledged record of personally funding higher-education improvements in the district.

Our Story

From a refugee camp to a mission that spans two continents

Nyonton Samuel Kweh was born in Monrovia, Liberia, and grew up in a refugee camp after surviving three civil wars. His family came to the United States in 2005. Even when there was no money for school, his parents instilled a deep belief in education — a belief that carried him through, and that he never let go of.

After building a career in cybersecurity and technology in the US, he turned that belief into a mission: giving children in underdeveloped nations the educational opportunities he never had. He founded KITS and self-funded its first years of work, bringing LEGO robotics education to Liberia for the first time. That mission — connecting innovation with opportunity so that no child's future is limited by where they were born — is what every KITS company exists to serve.

Our Companies

Four subsidiaries, one mission

Each KITS subsidiary attacks poverty from a different direction — education, schools, housing, and energy — and they are designed to reinforce one another.

Young Engineers KITS

Bridging poverty and innovation by delivering educational resources, modules, and lesson plans to underserved nations.

STEM educational programs and LEGO robotics training in schools and communities across underdeveloped nations — Young Engineers KITS brought LEGO robotics education to Liberia for the first time, and today reaches 38 partner schools serving approximately 12,000 students.

Every partner school receives a complete Young Engineers Classroom Package — LEGO robotic kits, computers, student desks and chairs, textbooks, a projector or TV for training modules, scientific instruments, and ongoing teacher training. Students compete in regional robotics competitions in Liberia, free to students, with pathways to global competitions.

3D concrete printed homes and schools for underserved regions, built by operating a fleet of advanced concrete 3D printers. Impact Projects & Programs

Programs designed to sustain themselves

KITS builds programs with working engines behind them — models where the operation itself funds the impact.

In development

Free Ride to Educational Success

A KITS education-access program under Herrmann KITS Academy: a fleet of modified buses providing students free transportation to and from school — removing distance as a barrier to education in Liberia.

  • Every KITS partner school is automatically enrolled; students ride free by presenting a valid school-issued photo ID badge.
  • Between school runs, the buses serve the public as paid transportation — and that revenue funds the free student rides. A self-sustaining model.
  • Purpose-modified for Liberia's terrain and weather: heavy-duty air-lift suspension and tractor tires for rural and off-road routes.
  • Satellite internet on board plus integrated cellular base stations extend the KITS Decentralized Network as the buses travel — each bus doubles as a mobile connectivity hub for remote communities.
Active — running for years

School Equipment Repurposing — Global Educational Empowerment

KITS partners with US schools and school districts to receive donated surplus equipment — buses, student desks, tables, chairs, computers, and technology — and responsibly repurposes it for partner schools in Liberia.

  • KITS handles all logistics end to end.
  • Donor schools are kept informed of where their equipment ends up.
  • Running for years — this is how much of the partner-school equipment is sourced.
  • A working sustainability commitment: reduce, reuse, recycle.

Initiative in development

Kparblee District Community Natural Power Plant

Our flagship renewable-energy impact project under KIES: a community power plant initiative for Kparblee District, Nimba County, Liberia — bringing clean, reliable power to a district where the founder's ties run generations deep.

  • Community-scale renewable generation for schools, homes, and local development.
  • Currently at the grant proposal stage.
  • Anchored by KITS's standing commitment to education and infrastructure in Kparblee District.

A note on honesty: programs marked "in development" are exactly that — funded designs and working plans, not operating services. We label our progress plainly, because trust is part of the mission.
